Heritage Survey

In the spring of 2021, we administered a heritage survey to Lasqueti Islanders to better understand what they think about a range of Indigenous heritage issues.

The results of the survey are in!

Here are some highlights:

People believe strongly in the value of protecting Indigenous heritage including archaeological heritage

People want to do the right thing, but are worried about implications for their own property

People see protecting Indigenous heritage as part of reconciliation

In general, the responses were overwhelmingly positive
