Horrific Viral Video Shows Youth Attacking Young Woman at Palampur Bus Stop in Himachal Pradesh; Cuts off the victim’s fingers

In a horrific incident, a youth attacked a young woman with a sickle in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. The attack was so powerful that several of the victim’s fingers were severed. The terrifying incident was caught on camera.

The victim’s fingers were cut off

The incident reportedly happened on April 13 near Palampur bus station in Palampur district. The woman, identified as Saina, was descending the stairs around 3 pm when the attacker, identified as Sumit Chaudhary, hit her head and threw about twelve sharp blows with the sickle on her hands and arms. The witnesses reportedly said the terrified young woman tried to defend herself by protecting her head with her hands when the sickle struck her fingers and severed them.

The bystanders quickly intervened and restrained Chaudhary, effectively stopping the attack. They took him to the police and had the injured victim rushed to a nearby hospital. As her condition was critical, she started her treatment at TMC Kangra before being referred to PGI Chandigarh for further care. She is now said to be stable.

The suspect reportedly works at the Public Works Department and is arrested by police. The police officers had taken the sickle used in the attack from the spot where they also discovered a strand of Saina’s hair and her handbag.

Police have launched an investigation into the case and suspect that the attacker and the victim were in a romantic relationship. The doctors at PGI hospital conduct regular medical check-ups to monitor the recovery of the victim.

On April 18, jilted lover Fayaz fatally stabbed 23-year-old Neha Hiremath, daughter of Congress corporator Niranjan Hiremath, on a college campus in Hubbali, Karnataka. Neha had reportedly rejected Fayaz’s romantic advances towards her, following which he attacked her.
