The next start date for Dodgers’ Walker Buehler’s rehab has been announced

The Dodgers have waited patiently for former top starting pitcher Walker Buehler to return from his injury. Buehler missed all of last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery and saw his start to the 2024 season postponed.

He’s been in some rehab lately as he works his way back to the big leagues. Things have been a bit up and down for the right-hander, but he also hasn’t pitched since the 2022 season.

Buehler was expected to be back with the team next week, but that has been pushed back a bit. He is expected to enter rehab at least one more time before the organization makes a decision on his eventual return.

The date has been set for his next start at Triple-A Oklahoma City. It will be in Albuquerque on Wednesday. If that goes well, we could see Buehler back with the Dodgers fairly soon.

It will be a welcome sight when Buehler takes the mound again for Los Angeles, as the team has missed his outings. Before his injury, Buehler had become one of the better pitchers in the entire game, giving the Dodgers a true ace-level starter.

He will be a free agent this winter, but the right-hander isn’t too concerned about that. All he cares about is getting himself back to where he was before the injury and helping the team compete for another World Series title.
