From Thursday 25 April, main roads will be closed at night due to work on the Black Cat roundabout. The A1, A421 and Black Cat roundabouts will be closed for three nights.

The closures are in effect on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (April 25 to 27) from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. There will be diversions during the closures.

A National Highways spokesperson said: “As we continue our work to upgrade the Black Cat roundabout, the next step will be installing safety barriers, clearing obstacles on site and carrying out maintenance on CCTV cameras . These works will ensure that traffic can continue. You can continue to use the A1, A421 and the Black Cat roundabout safely during the work.
