Weather update IMD: The weather is constantly changing in many parts of the country. In some places it is extremely hot and in other places rain and hail cause major damage. Another western disturbance will hit Jammu and Kashmir on April 23, leading to moderate rain and snowfall in the upper reaches until April 23. Another disturbance will reach the western Himalayas on April 26. These disturbances will also accelerate the formation of cyclonic circulation. This will result in scattered rain and thundershowers over northwest India, including Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Similarly, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers with lightning and gusty winds over Central and Southern Peninsula India on April 22.

According to IMD, there was severe heat in some parts of India on Saturday and the maximum temperature remained between 40 and 46 degrees Celsius in many areas. According to the Meteorological Department, heatwave to severe heatwave conditions were observed in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal during the day. This is the second phase of the ongoing heatwave affecting Odisha, Jharkhand and parts of Gangetic West Bengal. This is the second time this month. In the first phase, parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat were affected. On Saturday, the maximum temperature was measured seven to eight degrees above normal in some places.

Talking about the weather in the capital Delhi, the weather here has taken another turn for the worse. It rained in some parts of East Delhi and NCR in the early morning. Let us tell you that the Meteorological Department had already predicted rain in some parts of Delhi on April 22. Due to the rain, Delhi will remain partly cloudy throughout the day today.

According to Skymet Weather, rain and snow may fall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand over the next 24 hours, between April 21 and 26. Rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds (30-40 km per hour) may occur in North Punjab, North Haryana between April 22 and 23.

Light to moderate rain and strong winds are possible in Northeast India between April 22 and 24. Light to moderate rain may occur in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on April 22 and 26. Light rain is possible in Central Maharashtra and Marathwada between April 22 and 26 and in Konkan and Goa on April 21 and 22. Sporadic rain may occur in Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka between April 22 and 24.
