Betapudi (Mangalagiri): The women toiling in jasmine gardens told Nara Brahmani, wife of TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh, that they are working as agricultural laborers despite sacrificing their land for construction of the capital Amaravati. Brahmani spoke to the jasmine garden workers in Bethapudi village of Mangalagiri constituency as part of her election campaign. During the interaction, she picked jasmine flowers with it.

One of the workers Venkateswaramma narrated how her family had contributed six hectares of land for the construction of the capital. However, when the incumbent YSRCP government halted capital accumulation, they were forced to work as agricultural laborers on their own lands. Brahmani consoled them and told them to remain patient for the next two months, expressing confidence in the victory of the Telugu Desam Party in the subsequent elections and subsequent formation of government.

She assured the workers that once the TDP led by N Chandrababu Naidu regains power, all the issues faced by the farmers would be addressed expeditiously.

Moreover, Brahmani encouraged the workers to take advantage of training opportunities at the skill development centers set up by the TDP in Mangalagiri constituency, stressing that such training could enable them to generate additional income.

She also appealed to them to support Nara Lokesh in the upcoming elections.
